Week One: Six Weeks of Summer 2019

I cannot believe we have been on the summer holidays for a week already! It’s been a crazy but happy week.

The last day of term saw Master 4 become Master 5. Where is the time going? So to celebrate we went to see The Lion King at the cinema then we had a soft play party for him at the weekend. I always forget how crazy it is planning and preparing for their parties! Cake making, party bags, food….. A good time was had by all so my mission was accomplished.

We’ve had a mini heatwave which was unbearable with being pregnant. A day at home and the paddling pool out soon helped!

We’ve signed up for the Summer Reading Challenge at our local library. I love this event. Although our household loves books it just inspires a little more reading whilst not at school, especially for Master 8 who can be a reluctant reader. Unless it’s non fiction and involves reptiles!

Me and the children have ventured to Norfolk by ourselves. Solo parenting whilst on holiday with 3 children and a bump is shattering but such good fun at the same time! We’ve been swimming, spent time on the beach, watched shows, played in the soft play, had fun in the arcades, played games and just enjoyed family time. I love having my children with me and just being free.

What has the first week of the summer brought you? X
